After completing the Type Training B1 Maintenance Course, the participant should be able to:

• maintain the aircraft in accordance with the maintenance procedures prescribed
• identify / locate the major components associated with each system
• explain the operation of every system and its main components
• conduct a targeted search for errors or malfunctions in response to failure of particular systems or units
• exchange the aircraft’s LRUs and conduct Built in Test (BIT) by using the relevant documentation
• demonstrate proficiency in the use of on-board reporting systems
• determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with the Minimum Equipment List and Dispatch Deviation List
